At DLRC, Summative Assessments are held every two months. Grade 4 students’ first English SA involved a variety of testing components such as participation in lessons, how they are doing their notebook work, and a written assessment focussing on reading, writing, and comprehension skills. This varied approach takes away the pressure of formal assessments and it also helps facilitators gain a comprehensive picture of student progress. Both students and facilitators gain valuable insights that guide future facilitation and learning strategies.

What a racket we made with Fiery Shuttles (pun intended)!
Last weekend — 19th and 20th July — the Sports team hosted a stupendous badminton tournament that saw 124 participants battle it out in 10 categories. The tournament was open to the entire DLRC community and we had students, facilitators, parents, relatives, and even grandparents participate with full gusto. The event aimed to promote health, connection, and community bonding through sport. Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone who gave them a tough fight on the court!

In the Grade 12 Psychology class, a fascinating concept from consumer psychology was explored — how sound influences taste. In a hands-on experiment, a blindfolded student tasted food samples in different auditory environments. This immersive experience not only made learning fun and memorable but also offered insights into how restaurants and brands use ambient sound to shape consumer perceptions. It was a powerful example of experiential learning, showing how psychological principles are applied in real-world settings to influence consumer behaviour.

Grade 5 and 6 students are learning about the ranges and indicators of the Air Quality Index. Through this, they are building their awareness around air pollution, its impact on humans, animals, trees, and the environment. In class, they discussed solutions to reduce the AQI in their homes, and identified economical and environmentally sustainable options by using a Delhi-based family's attempt as a case study.
