Our next edition of monthly Heritage Walk will take you through the vibrant history of Shaniwar Wada - the iconic heritage building of Pune city. Built around 300 years ago by the famous Peshwa Bajirao I as the Peshwa family's residence, most of the Indian subcontinent was practically ruled from this place for almost 80 years. The dynamic geopolitics of the 18th century played out from this very place. Shaniwar Wada is a witness to the Maratha Empire's rise and fall - spanning an era from the death of Aurangzeb till the rise of British power in India.

Join us to explore the many interesting stories from this golden era of Pune through the lives and times of the Peshwas.
