Kasba Peth is famous for the GramDaivat (patron god) of Pune - Kasba Ganpati. However, it is the oldest settlement of Pune, with hidden heritage structures amidst it's narrow lanes. Beginning with the Laal Mahaal of Shivaji Maharaj, Kasba Peth experienced a development boom since last 400 years. With remains of buildings from as old as 1000 years, Kasba Peth holds a treasure trove of cultural and historical heritage.
